warning: ancient crone blood

I just cast on to my first hat, which is (excitingly!) in the round. I'm using some Merino wool I bought ages ago (before I even knew how to knit, but I was so in love). It is going to have a stripe and everything!

I think I am slightly in love with this hat, but I'm making it for my uncle who has cancer...since, you know, England is cold in winter especially if you've just had surgery. However, I know where I can buy more of this fabulous yarn. So there may be another hat for me in the future. Mwahahaha.

Now my partner wants the computer so I am going to go...
